The term “cairn” is Gaelic and although Scots are often associated with these rock sculptures, they have been part of many different cultures. Often used as guides and trailblazers, cairns have served a variety of purposes, from prehistoric times to the present.

Building cairns is a meditative experience, an exercise in balance, aesthetics and creativity. The focus of Rock Zen game is to build a cairn, choosing rocks against your choice of scene, meditative environments and music.
The free version of this app includes 2 levels and 8 rocks which you can use to make rock sculptures. If you enjoy the game, there is one in-app purchase for $4.99 that will allow you to add 6 beautiful backgrounds and 8 more rocks including obsidian, lapis, agate, petrified wood and more.
After choosing a rock, it will start floating down from above, and you will be able to adjust its orientation and position before it lands. Working this way you balance rocks on top of each other. Double clicking the rock will drop it on to the stack.
Care must be taken! As the rock stack increases in size, it becomes more challenging to balance the rocks. Add too much weight and the structure will fall.
This game can be played a few ways, allowing you to create unique rock sculptures, or challenging yourself to balance rocks as high as you can go.
This game includes peaceful ambient music from Kosta, Ars Sonar, Lee Rosevere, Christopher Alvarado, M.Nomized, Mystified, Sylphides, William Spivey, PCIII and more.
Cairns are not permanent. They do not tell you which trail you’re are on, nor do they indicate a direction, They are helpers and mark one’s own personal passage.
